Izzles Suzy26 "I would like to nominate Izzles for the RABCK round-up. In the beginning of August Izzles asked me if I was willing to trade The No.1 Ladies'Detective Agency by Alexander McCall Smith, which was on my wish list, for The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood. Of course I was willing to do that, so I shipped The Handmaid's Tale to her and very soon afterwards I received Alexander McCall Smith's book. I had been feeling unwell for a few days, but as I was in the process of moving house I had no time to pay much attention to that. But what do you know? Before I knew it I ended up in hospital where they gave me an IV drip and kept me in bed for 5 days. As it is difficult to concentrate on your reading in a hospital I asked my family to bring me The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency, because that seemed a good choice for hospital reading, which it was. Later on I made the following journal entry:

I read this book two weeks ago while spending some (totally unexpected) time in hospital and it was exactly what the doctor ordered! Such an enjoyable story. Nothing too deep, lovely, likable characters and this laid-back African atmosphere. I loved it!

Two days ago (30 September) I received a package by mail. It was from Izzles. She had read my journal entry and hoped that I was feeling well again. In it was the second in the series by Alexander McCall Smith, The Tears of the Giraffe. This struck me as such a sweet surprise! Someone I have never met is sending me a book to cheer me up! And actually, I am not feeling all that well yet. In three weeks time I have to go back to the hospital to undergo a bothersome medical exam, which I am dreading very much. Guess which book I am going to take with me to bide my time? THANK YOU IZZLES!!" -Suzy26-

Booklady331 Gypsysmom "I want to nominate Booklady331 for the October RABCK roundup. Back in September she posted that she wanted to send a RABCK to someone to celebrate her 3 month anniversary as a member of BookCrossing which was coming up on September 23rd. It was on the hot threads and it caught my eye because my birthday is September 23rd so I looked at her books and picked out The Pied Piper as one I would like to read if my name was picked. I pmd her and told her my choice and mentioned why her post had caught my eye. On September 23rd I got a pm from her saying that she had not drawn my name but she wanted to send me The Pied Piper anyway. Today the book arrived from her and she included a nice postcard and bookmark too. She certainly exemplifies the generous nature of BookCrossers and I thought she should be recognized." -Gypsysmom-
Gorgeousglo Jenptcfan "I would like to add gorgeousglo to your roundup list. She sought me out after seeing that one of her books was on my wishlist and put me into my first bookray! I've already read the book and passed it on, but it truly was a great book and I'm thrilled that she shared it with me." -Jenptcfan-
Mandali Gorgeousglo "Mandali sent me a crocheted bookmark with a little horse hanging from it." -Gorgeousglo-
Adia415 Gorgeousglo "Adia415 sent me a great bookmark on my BookCrossing anniversary!" -Gorgeousglo-
Apolonia Gorgeousglo "On BookRelay, Apolonia offered a book. I accepted, but then she couldn't find it. I told her not to worry about it. Because she felt bad, she listed me for one of the Reverse WishList relays, and on top of that she sent me two books from my wish list. What a sweetie." -Gorgeousglo-
Pyan Giz-angel "I'd like to nominate Pyan for an award

I had a really stressful problem - I had a wild rat infestation and the rat had babies under my kitchen sink. I caught the babies but I couldn't catch the mother and I was in a real state as I cannot bear to see animals suffer. I posted a help message on the Book Relay forum, and Pyan was SO helpful and supportive, even though she is all the way over in the US and I'm in the UK - I felt I had a real friend.

So I definitely think Pyan deserves a huge reward!" -Giz-angel'

Jamesmum DiamondLucy "Fellow BookCrosser Jamesmum has sent me (or the obcz cocohouse to be exact) a huge m-bag containing about 60 books. It arrived yesterday, I haven't had time to get them onto the cocohouse shelf yet but I'd appreciate you adding her to that list. She's really generous." -DiamondLucy-
KimKerry Buffra "KimKerry included release supplies in the bookring book I received from her. She checked my wishlist and it was sad and scarce, so she sent me labels & bookmarks instead.

*happy sigh* -Buffra-

Caring BookCrossers Polliwog "I wish to nominate the 70+ (I lost count!) individual bookcrossers from all over the world who showered me with support, caring, love, kindness, generosity and wisdom in reply to a posting I made in the forums regarding a personal problem I am having. They gave of themselves freely, buoyed me up, gave me strength and shared their personal stories without passing judgment on my situation. I hope they all know how much they have helped and are helping me no matter what my future holds." -Polliwog-
LyekkaMarengo Buffra "LyekkaMarengo was ahead of me in a bookring. She included with the bookring book three RABCKs -- all with authors that I still needed for my A-Z Challenge. I thought it was lovely and sweet." -Buffra-
BigrTex LyekkaMarengo "A few months ago BigrTex pm'd that he had a Gregory Benford book that he had seen on my wishlist. It was still on his TBR and he didn't think he would getting to it anytime soon, so if I wanted to read it he would send it to me and whenever I was done I could just send it back. I have a lot of books listed on BC between my OBCZ and my personal stuff so I get quite a few trade proposals when someone wants one of my books and has something on my wishlist but he was the first to just offer to lend a book." -LyekkaMarengo-
Miketrollstigen Polliwog "I would like to nominate the esteemed miketrollstigen for the RABCK Round-Up for his generous gift of wings given to cheer me up when I was down. Thank you dearest miketrollstigen!" -Polliwog-
Rendiru Libertine101 "Completely unexpectantly, I recieved a package from rendiru. It contained a book from my Wishlist and another book and the bestest card, ever! (All cat themed, of course!) But the best was what she wrote inside the card. Its lovely to know there are people out there thinking of you and who do something as nice as this for you to help bring a smile to your face. Thanks rendiru!" -Libertine101-
Lease Libertine101 "Lease and I seem to be likeminded individuals on opposite sides of the world. I recently received two rabck books from her that look to be just so 'right' for me. Its so nice to connect with cool BCers like her. :)" -Libertine101-
Tania-in-nc CreativeMGE "I'd like to nominate tania-in-nc, who sent me a surprise RABCK in September. I had just joined bookcrossing not 3 weeks earlier, and was still trying to orient myself when I received her RABCK in the mail. She couldn't have known I had been having a series of bad days, and her little present was the highlight of my week (talk about serendipity). It was completely unexpected and exemplified what I was to come to learn about bookcrossing; namely the generous nature of my fellow BCers. Thanks!" -CreativeMGE-
