Katayoun Reader1107 "I'd like to nominate katayoun. I sent her a book in trade (The Worst Witch Strikes Again), and when she came into possession of the original book in the series (The Worst Witch) she PMed me to see if I'd be interested and then sent it to me (from Tehran)." -Reader1107-
Bug007 Tags "Bugs007 met me at a coffee shop and came over to my house and entered/ journaled some books for my shelf. She also answered some questions.
She was just great. Really a super gal. She also mailed my book to grover3." -Tags-
Sissyrun Ri "I would like to nominate Sissyrun for the June RABCK Roundup. Out of the blue she sent me Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry, which was on my wishlist. It was such a nice surprise to find waiting for me when I came home from visiting my family abroad. She also included a postcard of her hometown which was sweet." -Ri-

SerenityBlue "I had posted requests for healing books for my friend Dale-Anne who has terminal cancer. There were quite a few people who responded quickly from Nova Scotia to Hawaii and she now has quite the collection and says she is so pleased to get her mail these days. She thanks every one profusely for their caring, sharing, good vibes and prayers. She can read for a bit at a time but she says it is comforting just to have the books around her.
She attends a healing class every week in her own home so these books are helping others too. As usual gregarious, and generous bookcrossers have come through in a crisis and I was overwhelmed with so many. So I really would like to thank everyone for their empathy, generosity and kindness." -SerenityBlue-

Libertine101 "I posted up a thread on the ChitChat forum about maple syrup, stating how it's my first ever time having it and how glorious it is. I was rather taken aback by the huge response that thread got. But even more impressive were the many kind and generous offers I got! I have been offered by mostly (though not all) Canadian Bcers bottles of maple syrup, maple candies, and even a waffle iron! I have once again been taken aback by the generosity offered! All stemming from one little thread I started whilst eating breakfast - maple syrup on my porridge!" -Libertine101-
Mojosmom PokPok "I wanted to recognize two BCers, although by extension some others, for the RABCK round up. I posted about a literacy project for at risk youth in North Carolina. Many BCers donated books, and we are very grateful to each person. Two however, stand out. One is Mojosmom. Mojosmom is always active, answering people's questions, etc. In this case, she sent about a dozen books or so, and picked many that are specifically themed for this project. It's mostly African American kids, and she found some about AA protagonists and historical figures. It was wonderful she went out of her way to find something these kids will relate to." -PokPok-
Vraciousrdr PokPok " I posted about a literacy project for at risk youth in North Carolina. Many BCers donated books, and we are very grateful to each person. Vraciousrdr, who gave me a box of books. There's about 25 in there. That was just astounding. In my aunt's words, "I was hoping for a few books, instead our first project will be to build bookshelves to house them in." -PokPok-
Watchcat Bug007 "I went to the mailbox one day and there was an unexpected surprise. It was a package with a book in it from Watchcat. Out of the blue she mailed me a book off my wishlist. I can't begin to tell you how much it made my day! Thank you Watchcat!" -Bug007-
Antof9 Jlynnt "I nominate Antof9. She included a brand new copy of "Pat the Bunny" for my son with a book she'd sent me for a bookring. It was totally unexpected and very much appreciated! He's in the touch-and-feel stage so it's the perfect book for him right now. Awwww! My baby's first BookCrossing book!" -Jlynnt-
Wordyone Jessibud "I would really love to be able to nominate someone retroactively, for lack of a better term. I found my way to bookcrossing via Wordyone back in March, and she was instrumental in helping me learn my way around in my early days here. I must have emailed her dozens of times a day, with countless inane questions. She even had her hubby in on it, trying to make my little peabrain understand some of the intricacies (to me) of the computer, when it came to printing out labels, etc! She had infinite patience with me and was genuinely *there* whenever I needed her, encouraging me all the way. I am now flying on my own, thoroughly addicted, posting on fora, I've joined several bookrings and just today, even started my very own bookring for the first time! Who'd a thunk it?! (I'm not known in my circle of friends as the computer-savvy type, btw)" -Jessibud-
Jamesmum Tyvmdear "I would like to nominate Jamesmum. Last night she PM me to ask if my daughter was still looking for "Anne Of Green Gable" books. She remembered that we had been, so when she was at a library book sale and saw these books, she picked up number 8 and number 10 for my daughter. Plus she was looking at my bookshelf and noticed that on my wish list was "A Child Called It" and offered that book also.

So since I became a member in March, she has sent me 4 RABCK completely out of the blue.

This is the true meaning of a "RANDOM ACT"." -Tyvmdear-

Yvi-1 Spedbug "I'd like to recognized yvi-1's kindness in hosting and programming all the information for the 'unofficial bookcrossing art gallery' on her web page. She's awesome!" -Spedbug-
Ri Jessibud "I'd like to nominate Ri , who sent me my very first PM message back when I first joined bookcrossing. She just PM'd me to welcome me to bookcrossing and to chat. She is currently living in the same city as I am and though we haven't met yet, we will, one day soon I hope. I just thought that gesture of friendliness was very sweet and I'd like to recognize that publicly." -Jessibud-
FanClub First-Noel " Fanclub has sent me several books including the latest, Club Dead by Charlaine Harris, just this month. She's also sent me Bet Me by Jennifer Crusie and Ain't She Sweet by Elizabeth Philips. All wonderful books. Since she won't let me return the favor I want her to have a chance during the roundup." -First-Noel-
Tmoke Constant-Reader "I would very much like to nominate Tmoke. I have accepted a RABCK from her a couple of times and she very generously has sent not only what she originally offered, but additional books in the same series. She is such a nice person and never takes anything from my shelf even though I have offered. I would love to send her a book, but she has no wish list created. This is the best way I have found to recognize this super bookcrosser." -ConstantReader-
Jamesmum Jessibud "I'd like to nominate Jamesmum who, through a series of back and forth PM's over the last day or 2, was very generous and encouraging in helping me to start my own bookring, my first. She gave me some great suggestions as to how to organize it timewise, how to phrase it and even sent me her own guidelines, which I was able to adapt to suit my needs for this ring. I am blown away by the generosity of spirit and the willingness to help one another, of the bookcrossers I've met so far. This site is so much more than just *reading books*. There's a kind of *kindred spirit* quality here that is so refreshing." -Jessibud-

KitsuneCharmed "In mid-June, I posted a request on the Wish List forum, for books for the residents of Portland Oregon State Hospital. The response I got was staggering. A month later, all of these people have sent books.

Several other BXers have promised to send things as they become available. Not one single person took me up on my offer to help with postage. Some people sent extra presents for the residents, and two sent a book for me!

I'd also like to point out that several people from outside the US offered to send books, and I turned them down because of the postage costs. I think, though, that this demonstrates the breadth of kindness found in the people who make up BookCrossing." -KitsuneCharmed-

Jords Lady-B " I received a RABCK today from Jords. I have of course offered to reimburse Jords for postage and packing but she refused as she felt that RABCKing was part of the spirit of Bookcrossing. I was really touched. It's a wonderful thing when a complete stranger shows such thought and generosity to another complete stranger." -Lady-B-
BlueAmazon Amusedbythis I would like to nominate bcer BlueAmazon. Although I had had no previous contact with her, when she sent me a book she coupled it with a surprise RABCK that she thought I might enjoy." -Amusedbythis-
Spedbug TexasWren After we lost our Tiger Cat to a dog attack, Spedbug sent me the sweetest card, filled with little hearts. The envelope was done in her gorgeous calligraphy, so, in addition to the warmth her thoughfulness brought to my heart, I am also the proud owner of some Spedbug artwork!" Thank you so much. You have no idea how much it meant to us." -TexasWren-
SerenityBlue JDT "I'd like to honor SerenityBlue who sent me 3 lovely little surprises! Though I've never met her, it's apparent SerenityBlue has a big heart and is a wonderful, caring, thoughtful friend!" -JDT-
Keister Bluenoser "I'd like to nominate Keister for this month's RABCK Round-Up. When she heard about the death of my 16 year old dog, Punch, she sent me a beautiful little book called "Maya's First Rose", sub-titled "A Memoir of Undying Devotion for Anyone Who Has Ever Loved and Lost a Pet", by Martin Scot Kosins. " -Bluenoser-
Nikki-vet BigBird2002 "I would also like to recognise Nikki-Vet. When my Children's Book Box went missing she sent some books to my daughter. I thought that was so sweet and thoughtful." -BigBird2002-
Seferim Amusedbythis "I would like to nominate Seferim who I "met" almost immediately after I joined bookcrossing over a year ago. Her kindness is boundless. Most recently, she sent me a box of audiobooks that she thought that I might enjoy." -Amusedbythis-
Tabby-cat-owner Raralovestoread"I would like to nominate tabby-cat-owner. I sent her a copy of a book that her daughter needed to read for school; in exchange, she agreed to send me a biography. When I received the package, tabby-cat-owner had also included three Newbery Medal books. I am trying to read all the Newbery Medal winners, which she must have discovered when she looked at my bookshelf. It was a complete surprise and a very generous act." -Raralovestoread-
Billhookbabe BigBird2002 "I would like to recogize billhookbabe. Awhile back I posted looking for audio books that I could trade for print books. I didn't have any audio books of my own to trade but really wanted to have something to listen to while I hang the flyers in the mornings for my husband's landscape business. A wonderful Book Crosser for overseas offered my an RABCK. I asked for the Woman's Hour Short Stories Tapes 1, 2, and 3. I thought it was a set. What a surprise when I got three seperate audio books!" -BigBird2002-
Eriko1908 BigBird2002 "I would like to recognize eriko1908. I had posted on the forums that my Children's Book Box went missing and I was upset about that. A couple of days ago I went out to the mailbox and opened a HUGE envelope FILLED with books for my two daughters. The books were awesome, and my kids are loving them. I cannot believe the generosity of Book Crossers sometimes. I love the community spirit!" -BigBird2002-
